The Freezing Big Apple

Posted by richardcjy on February 1, 2007

Do I look like a New Yorker? It’s awkward that most of my friends think I’ve been to NYC a lot of times already. But the fact is that last weekend I paid my first ever visit to the Big Apple.

This short trip is mainly for my job interview. Did not stay for long and did not really travel. My only complaint is the weather, it was freezing cold. Not too comfortable for someone from the southern forest. Besides that, I actually felt quite comfortable in the City. It did not take me long to get used to the subway system. The City is fabulous, but probably because of I’ve seen her too many times on TV and movies, I am not really stunned when I first arrived. Instead, I soon got into business and joined the New Yorkers, as what we saw on TV.

Probably I got too many things to do, too many people to me, therefore I don’t have the time and mood to be overwhelmed by this City. I look forward to the next chance to further discover her, and hopefully be astonished by all her attractions.
